The University of Mary Washington softball team saw four players named to the 2010 All-Capital Athletic Conference team on Thursday. Sophomore third baseman
Elizabeth Crowe (Alexandria, Va., West Potomac) and senior utility player
Kim Olinger (Bealeton, Va., Liberty) were named to the first team, while sophomore outfielder
Amanda Adams (Ashburn, Va., Stone Bridge) and senior shortstop
Kaitlin Petrella (Leesburg, Va., Heritage) were named to the second team.
Crowe led the Eagles with a .412 average, eight homers, and 33 RBI. She added a team-high 42 hits and 24 runs scored. Olinger batted .250 while filling the gaps playing several different positions defensively.
Adams hit .277 with a team-high 10 doubles, scored 12 runs and drove in 14. Petrella, the Eagles' all-time leader in home runs, hit .308 with 19 RBI while missing a part of the season due to injury.
