#18 UMW Men's Tennis Tops Stevens, 7-2, on Sunday

The 18th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team defeated Stevens Institute of Technology, 7-2, on Sunday morning at the UMW Indoor Tennis Center. The Eagles improve to 3-0 on the season.

UMW gained the advantage during doubles, as the Eagles scored wins at one and three. Rishi Charan Shankar and Andrew Watson scored an 8-1 victory at one, and Peter Leese and Andrew Cooper scored an 8-4 win at three.

In singles, Charan Shankar won at one, 6-1, 6-3, and Watson followed at two with a 2-6, 7-6, 10-8 win at two. Brock Ladehoff woon at three, 6-1, 7-6, and Leese claimed a win at four, 6-4, 6-1. Jacob Pfab won at five, 6-0, 6-1.

The Eagles will return to action on March 26 at Chapman University at 5:00 p.m.
