The Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) has announced its weekly awards following the third week of the 2022 spring tennis season. Mary Washington senior Claire Coleman earned C2C Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week accolades, while Mary Washington sophomore Rishi Charan Shankar claimed C2C Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week honors.

WOMEN'S TENNIS: Claire Coleman - Mary Washington

Mary Washington senior Claire Coleman led the Eagles to three wins in four matches in California last week, going 4-0 in doubles with Amanda Hagino and finishing 3-1 in singles play. Coleman and Hagino accounted for the Eagles' point against Claremont Mudd Scripps, and she scored wins in singles and doubles as UMW defeated Chapman, 5-4, Occidental, 8-1, and Redlands, 7-2.

MEN'S TENNIS: Rishi Charan Shankar - Mary Washington 

Mary Washington sophomore Rishi Charan Shankar provided the Eagles with a pair of singles wins and a pair of doubles wins this week in California. He gained a three-set win at two singles as well as an 8-3 win with Nick Spera at two doubles as UMW topped Chapman, 7-2. His wins at two singles and one doubles with Spera against Redlands accounted for two of UMW's four points in a 5-4 defeat.
