UMW Swimmers Fall to William and Mary


The University of Mary Washington men's and women's swimming teams closed the dual meet portion of their 2011-12 schedule at home against Division I William & Mary, with the women falling, 166-87 and the men falling, 147-109.

Winners for the Eagles included senior Billy Norfolk in the 200 yard butterfly, with a time of 1:55.01, and freshman Alex Anderson, who set a new Capital Athletic Conference record in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:06.47.


Both teams will be back in action in two weeks at the Capital Athletic Conference championships at St. Mary's College.
