#17 UMW Men's Soccer Falls at Salisbury, 2-1, in C2C Action

The 17th ranked University of Mary Washington men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision at Salisbury University on Wednesday in Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference action. The Eagles slip to 9-4-2 on the season.

Salisbury opened the scoring with a goal in the 30th minute, and held a 1-0 lead at halftime. The Sea Gulls added another score in the 62nd minute to advance the margin to 2-0, before sophomore Carter Berg cut the deficit in half with a score in the 84th minute on an assist from Evan Fidler

The Eagles led in shots, 20-6, as well as corner kicks, 7-2. UMW goalkeeper Griffin Hemmendinger made two saves on the day.

Mary Washington will be back in action next weekend at the C2C Tournament, hosted by Salisbury. Seedings and game times will be announced on October 31.
