UMW Men's Soccer Falls in OT at Salisbury, 2-1, on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision in overtime at Salisbury University on Saturday afternoon in Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference action and the regular season finale. The Eagles slip to 8-5-2 on the season, and 1-2-1 in league play.

Salisbury opened the scoring at 16:17, but the Eagles tied the score at 1-1 seven minutes later, as Abel Luwis scored on an assist from freshman Carter Berg at 23:11. 

The game stayed tied through regulation, until Salisbury found the game winner at 92:32.

The Eagles led in shots, 17-7, as well as corner kicks, 9-2. UMW senior goalkeeper Ken Kurtz made two saves on the day for the Eagles.

UMW will compete in next weekend's C2C Tournament, and will serve as hosts. Seeds for the tournament will be announced on Monday.
