The Mary Washington baseball team (22-8) is once again receiving votes in the latest D3baseball.com Top 25 poll released on Tuesday morning by the publication. It also recieved votes in the American Baseball Coaches Association Poll (ABCA), placing just outside the Top 30. The Eagles will hit the road three times this week to play three teams that were all featured in the D3 Baseball poll this week as they match up with Randolph-Macon (RV) on Tuesday in Ashland.

The Eagles have a date with No. 25 Marymount on Wednesday at Capitol One Ballpark in Tysons Corner, Va., then travel out to No. 5 Salisbury on Saturday to take on the Sea Gulls. The Eagles are 1-2 against those opponents this season as their victory came against Salisbury in an 11-9 thriller at Earl V. Dickinson Stadium on April 30.

Lately, though, the Eagles have won four in a row after playing five games last week. They took down Penn State-Harrisburg (RV) on Tuesday in a five-run victory, beat then-No. 17 Shenandoah on the road in Winchester, Va., and then finished off the week with a doubleheader sweep against Hampden-Sydney on Saturday.

As a team, UMW is hitting .314 as a team, while slugging .414 as senior Ty Lowe leads the Eagles in both with a .412 average and .605 slugging percentage. The two-way star for the Eagles went 12-for-22 last week (.545) with a homer and 14 RBIs at the plate, while recording a save for the Eagles in the victory over Shenandoah.

On the mound, the Eagles are led by Gavin Riley, who went seven innings and allowed three runs in the victory over Penn State-Harrisburg, and his perfect 6-0 record and 2.23 ERA. Meanwhile, the bullpen features flame thrower and this week's Coast-to-Coast Pitcher of the Week winner Connor Hassan and his five saves, 1.08 ERA, and ridiculous 14.58 K/9 mark.
