UMW Volleyball Closes Regular Season with 3-1 Win at St. Mary's

The University of Mary Washington volleyball team defeated St. Mary's College, 3-1, on Friday night in the Eagles' regular season finale. UMW heads to the CAC Tournament with a 15-12 record. The Eagles dropped the first game, 25-22, before winning three straight, 25-11, 25-13, and 25-20.

After a rough start, the Eagles righted the ship in the second, hitting .270 on the night with 46 kills against just 13 errors. The Eagles also sported 12 block assists.

Seniors Peyton Dunow and Savannah Powers each recorded 12 kills to lead the Eagles, while freshman Krista Rodgers scored eight without an error. Junior Wren Berry scored 37 assists and added four service aces, and senior Kendal Hall added 12 digs. Aidan Finegan led with four block assists.

The Eagles will host a Capital Athletic Conference semifinal on Thursday. The Eagles will face the winner of Tuesday's match between third seeded Salisbury and sixth seeded St. Mary's on Thursday at 7 p.m.
