UMW Volleyball Falls at CNU, 3-0, on Saturday Afternoon

The University of Mary Washington volleyball fell to Christopher Newport University, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon in Newport News, VA. The Eagles slip to 8-9 overall, and 2-1 in the CAC. 

Senior Savannah Powers led the team with 11 kills on 20 attempts, hitting .350. Peyton Dunow added six kills on 19 attempts. Krista Rodgers, Tenley Hares, and Lexie Hendricks all contributed three kills a piece. 

Kendal Hall had 14 digs to lead UMW. Olivia Casey, Makenna Santinga, and Abby Wiles all added four digs a piece. Wren Berry dished out 27 assists on the day.

UMW will be back in action on Wednesday as they will travel to Southern Virginia for a key CAC match at 7 p.m.
