Savannah Powers Named AVCA Honorable Mention All-America Selection

University of Mary Washington junior Savannah Powers added to her list of accomplishments on Tuesday, as she has been named as an honorable mention All-America selection by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Powers becomes just the second All-America pick in school history.

Powers led the Eagles to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, posting team highs with 289 kills and 2.51 kills per game. She added 200 digs, 45 service aces, and 37 total blocks this season. She has previously been named as the Capital Athletic Conference Player of the Year and a first team AVCA all-region selection.

She joins Emma Olson as the only All-America choices in program history. Olson gained the honor in 2016.
