Three Named to VaSID Women's Tennis All-State Team; Moghtader Cops Player of the Year

Sophomore Abby Moghtader has been named as the Player of the Year as the Virginia Sports Information Directors released its 2021 All-State College Division Women's Tennis Team on Friday. Moghtader and juniors Claire Coleman and Lauren Quinn were named to the team.

Moghtader, a 2021 ITA All-American, finished year ranked seventh in the nation, and third in the Atlantic South. She was awarded the 2021 C2C Player of the Year, and was first team all-conference. She gained first team all-state honors in singles and doubles, as she and Quinn gained first team doubles honors. The pair were ITA doubles All-Americans after finishing the season ranked eighth in nation and fourth in Atlantic South by the ITA. 

Coleman gained second team honors in singles, as she finished 2021 ranked 40th nationally and 12th in Atlantic South Region. A competitor in the NCAA singles championship, she was a first team All-C2C choice.
