#19 UMW Women's Tennis Blanks York, 5-0, in CAC Semifinals

The nineteenth-ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team blanked York College, 5-0, on Tuesday afternoon in the CAC semifinals in Fredericksburg, Va. The Eagles improve to 18-4 on the season.

UMW gained a 3-0 advantage after doubles play as they only lost two games in the three matches. Ashley Barrow and Kait Brogan won at one doubles 8-2; Caroline Mosberg and Rachel Summers won at two doubles 8-0; Danielle Mirabella and Brittany McBride won 8-0 at three doubles.

The Eagles put the match away in singles play as all they needed was two wins to move on and got them early. Hannah Jabusch won at three singles 6-0, 6-1 and then Mirabella clinched the match with a 6-0,6-0 win at four singles. All the other UMW players were up a set when the match ended.

UMW will be back in action on Saturday as they will look to win their 15th straight CAC championship against CNU on Friday at a time TBA.
