#19 UMW Women’s Tennis Defeats Frostburg St., 9-0, on Wednesday

The nineteenth-ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Frostburg State University, 9-0, on Wednesday afternoon in Frostburg, Md. The Eagles improve to 12-4 overall, and 5-0 in the CAC.

UMW dominated in doubles action as they did not lose a single game in all three matches. Caroline Mosberg and Brittany McBride won at one doubles 8-0; Sophie Dixon and Rachel Cooper won at two doubles 8-0; Hannah Jabusch and Olivia Moore won at three doubles 8-0.

In singles action, the Eagles only dropped two games in all six of the their matches. Mosberg won at one singles 6-0, 6-0; Jabusch won at two singles 6-1, 6-0; Cooper won at three singles 6-0, 6-0; Dixon won at four singles 6-0, 6-0; Moore won at five singles 6-0, 6-0; and McBride won at six singles 6-0, 6-1.

The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday as they will host St Mary's (Md.) at 10 a.m. and then Johns Hopkins at 3 p.m.
