The 16th ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team swept Caltech, 9-0, on Friday in California. The Eagles improve to 6-0 on the season.
UMW forged ahead quickly with a sweep in doubles. Kait Brogan and Ashley Barrow were victorious at one, 8-1, and Caroline Mosberg and Rachel Summers won at two, 8-1. Sara Fioretti and Hannah Jabusch completed the sweep at three, winning 8-4.
In singles, Brogan won at one, 6-0, 6-3, and Summers won at two, 6-4, 6-0. Jabusch won at three, 6-4, 6-1, and Danielle Mirabella won at four, 6-2, 6-4, and Rachel Cooper won at six, 6-0, 6-3.
The Eagles will be back in action on March 16 when they host MIT at 3:00 p.m.
