#15 Mary Washington Women’s Tennis Defeats Dickinson, Methodist on Saturday

The fifteenth ranked University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Dickinson College, 9-0, and Methodist University, 7-2, on Saturday at the UMW Indoor Tennis Center. The Eagles improve to 2-0 on the season.

In the morning against Dickinson, Ashley Barrow and Caroline Mosberg won at one doubles, 8-2, Sara Fioretti and Hannah Jabusch won at two doubles, 8-2, and Brittany McBride and Addie Hinton won at three doubles, 8-1.

In singles, Kait Brogan won at one 6-3, 7-5; Mosberg won at two 6-2, 2-6, 10-6; Danielle Mirabella won at three 6-0, 6-2; Hinton won at four 6-1, 6-1; Olivia Moore won at five 6-1, 6-2; and Rachel Cooper won at six 6-0, 6-1.

In the afternoon against Methodist, Brogan and Rachel Summers won at one doubles 8-2, while Mirabella and Moore won at three doubles 8-3. 

In singles play, Jabusch won at two 6-1, 6-0; Mirabella won at three 6-4, 6-0; Hinton won at four 6-2, 6-1; Moore won at five 6-1, 6-2; and Cooper won at six 6-0, 6-1.

UMW will be back in action on Sunday as they host Franklin and Marshall at 9:30 a.m.
