Five UMW Tennis Players Named to ITA All-Academic TeamJuly 11, 2014Three UMW women's tennis players and two men were named to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's All-Academic Team on Thursday. Lindsay Raulston, Alex Ritter, and Mackenzie Smith were named from the women's team, and Evan Charles and David Lunding-Johansson were named from the men's team.

Catullo Named VaSID State College Division Coach of the Year as All-State Team AnnouncedJune 10, 2014Washington & Lee University junior Sonja Meighan (McLean, Va./Flint Hill) has been named as the 2014 Virginia State Women's Tennis College Division Player of the Year by the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association, as the All-State team was announced on Friday. University of Mary Washington head coach Patrick Catullo was named the state Coach of the Year, and Emory & Henry College freshman Stella DiMichele (San Remo, Italy) was named as the state's Rookie of the Year.

UMW Women's Tennis Places 21st Nationally in Final Poll; Raulston and Harris Rank Among EliteJune 10, 2014The University of Mary Washington women's tennis team finished the season ranked 21st in the nation, and sixth in the Atlantic South region. Senior Lindsay Raulston ranked 20th nationally in singles, and Raulston and partner Shelby Harris finished sixth in the nation - the highest ending rank for any doubles team in Coach Catullo's tenure.

UMW Men's, Women's Tennis Will Host NCAA Tournament Super Regional This WeekendMay 11, 2014Seven women's teams and five men's teams will compete this weekend in the first three rounds of the NCAA Tournament at the Battleground. The Mary Washington women will face Penn State-Behrend in the first round, while the men will face Wilkes in the second round. Dates and times are to be determined.

#21 Women's Tennis Moves Past Trinity (Tx), 5-1, in NCAA Tournament Second RoundMay 09, 2014The #21 University of Mary Washington women's tennis team defeated Trinity (Tx) 5-1 on Friday at the Hegmann Tennis Complex. Mary Washington took two of three doubles matches to earn the win. The Eagles move to 18-7 on the year and will face the winner of Johns Hopkins-SUNY Geneseo tomorrow.
