UMW Women's Lacrosse Ranks 23rd in Weekly IWLCA National Poll

UMW Women's Lacrosse Ranks 23rd in Weekly IWLCA National Poll

The top 11 teams held their spot in the Division III poll this week, led by Franklin & Marshall (4-0), who received 21 of 25 first place votes. Washington and Lee (10-0), Tufts (3-0), Salisbury (11-0), and Gettysburg (4-0) round out the top five. There was some movement in the poll further down the rankings, and Roanoke (7-2) made its official poll debut at #25 after receiving votes a couple of weeks ago.

There are only a few top-25 matchups this week, and two of them feature #23 Mary Washington, who visits Salisbury (#4) on Tuesday and #22 St. Mary's on Thursday. Trinity (#18) has two NESCAC games this weekend, Friday at #12 Wesleyan, and against #21 Hamilton on Sunday. On Saturday, the only action between ranked teams is #19 William Smith at #15 Brockport.
