UMW Women's Golf Moves Into Third Place at CAC Championships on Friday

The University of Mary Washington women's golf team improved their daily performance by a collective 40 strokes on day two of the 2019 Capital Athletic Conference Championships at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Course in Williamsburg, Va., on Friday. The Eagles, who shot an opening round 409 on Thursday, carded a 369 on Friday to move from fourth to third place.

Sophomore Andrea Dill continued to set the pace, as she shot a 79 on Friday after an opening round 80, and is in second place overall. Freshman Crystal Pham stands in 13th place after shooting an 87 on Friday, and senior Sara Fioretti is in 15th place after posting a 91 on Friday. Freshman Gabrielle Moore shot a 112 on Friday, and classmate Ashley Ruehl shot a 129.

The Championships will conclude on Saturday.
