UMW Women's Golf in Fourth Place at CAC Championships After Day One

The University of Mary Washington women's golf team stands in fourth place following day one of the 2019 Capital Athletic Conference Championships, held at Golden Horseshoe Golf Course in Williamsburg, Va. The Eagles posted a 409 on Thursday, eight strokes behind third-place Southern Virginia, who shot a 401. York leads aftre day one with a 329, followed by Christopher Newport in 345.

Sophomore Andrea Dill is the clubhouse leader of the event after 18 holes. She shot a +8 80 on Thursday. Freshman Crystal Pham is in 14th place at 100 (+28), senior Sara Foretti is in 16th at 104, freshman Gabrielle Moore is 19th at 125, and freshman Ashley Ruehl is 20th at 138.

The Championships will continue on Friday, and conclude on Saturday.
