UMW Outdoor Track & Field Competes at Mount Olive Trojan Invitational

The University of Mary Washington men's and women's outdoor track and field teams competed at the Mount Olive College Trojan Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The Eagle men finished third among 12 schools, while the women finished fourth among 13 schools.

Senior Jose Mundo ran a 10.88 in prelims in the 100 meters, while Jeff Gibson finished third in the 1500 meters at 4:05.68. Austin Jones was second in the 5k at 16:00.69, and the 4x100 meter relay took second at 44.86 seconds.

David Danek finished second in the high jump at 1.98 meters, with Rajai Walton taking third at 1.93 meters. Dylon Garrett was first in the pole vault at 4.15 meters, and Daniel Forjan won the shot put at 15.75 meters. Forjan was second in the discus at 43.57 meters.

For the women, Erin Andrewlevich finished second in the 400 meters at 59.73 and fourth in the 200 meters. Kristy White was third in the 800 meters at 2:25.32, and Marin Bader was third in the 1500 meters at 5:16.42.

Yamina James was third in the pole vault at 2.60 meters, and Sam Gorton was third in the hammer throw at 46.33 meters.

Both teams will be in action in Richmond next weekend.
