UMW Men's Tennis Falls to William & Mary, 7-0, on Friday Afternoon

The University of Mary Washington men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Division I College of William & Mary on Friday afternoon at the UMW Indoor Tennis Center. The Eagles slip to 1-2 on the season.

In doubles, UMW gained a victory at one, as Moses Hutchison and Rishi Charan Shankar were victorious, 8-6. The Tribe picked up wins at two and three doubles to gain the team point. 

In singles, William and Mary swept all six matches, but Hutchison fought to a third set tiebreaker after falling 7-5 in the first set and winning the second, 7-5. He fell, 10-3, in the breaker.

The Eagles will be back in action on Sunday when they visit North Carolina Wesleyan College at 2:00 p.m.
