#16 UMW Men's Tennis Blanks Penn St. Harrisburg, York on Friday

The 16th ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team swept a pair of Capital Athletic Conference matches from Penn State Harrisburg and York College on Friday in Pennsylvania. The Eagles improve to 15-3 on the season, and win their 12th and 13th straight games of the season.

In the Eagles' win over Harrisburg, Patrick Hughes won at one singles, 6-1, 6-0; Matt Miles won at two, 6-1, 6-0; Moses Hutchison won at three, 6-1, 6-0; Derek Hagino won at four, 6-0, 6-1; Cole Tecce won at five, 6-0, 6-0, and Priyan Dasilva won at six 6-1, 6-0. In doubles, Miles and Hutchison won at one, 8-2, and Hagino and Hughes won at two, 8-1.

The Eagles wept all six singles against York to start the day's action. Hughes won at one, 6-1, 6-0; Miles won at two, 6-2, 6-1; and Ryland Byrd won at three, 6-2, 6-0. Michael Fleming won at four, 6-0, 6-0; Joseph Brown won at five, 6-0, 6-0; and Derek Hagino won at six, 6-0, 6-0.

UMW will visit Carnegie Mellon on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
