#12 UMW Men’s Tennis Takes Down TCNJ, 6-3, on Saturday

The twelfth-ranked University of Mary Washington men's tennis team took down The College of New Jersey, 6-3, on Saturday afternoon in Ewing Township, New Jersey. The Eagles improve to  18-3 on the season.

In doubles action, UMW took two out of three matches. Ryland Byrd and Michael Fleming won at one doubles 8-3, while Derek Hagino and Patrick Hughes won at three doubles 8-2. TCNJ took two doubles 8-7 (7-5).

The Eagles pulled away in singles action as they managed to win four of six matches. Matt Miles won at one singles 6-1, 6-2; Moses Hutchison won at three singles 6-0, 6-4; Ryland Byrd won at five singles 6-4, 6-2; and Cole Tecce won at six singles 6-0, 6-2.

UMW will travel to #19 Swarthmore on Sunday for a match at 12 p.m.
