UMW Men's Swimmers Strengthen Hold on 3rd Place at F&M Invite

The University of Mary Washington men's swim team strengthened its grip on third place, as one of three teams to break ahead in points at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational on Saturday. UMW has posted 927.5 points, behind only F&M (1091) and Mount St. Mary's (975.5), and well ahead of the rest of the pack, led by fourth place Washington & Lee (776).

The Eagles' top quartet in the 200 medley relay - Paul Datovech, Aidan Deege, Thomas Leckrone, Ellis Winfree - finished third at 1:34.11. Conrad Tan followed with a victory in the 400 yard IM at 4:10.13, followed in second by Stephen Wallach at 4:13.76. Leckrone finished second in the 100 yard butterfly at 50.76, and Jakob Robinette finished third in the 200 freestyle at 1:43.70, just ahead of teammate Kolin Hoffman (1:44.27).

The Invitational will conclude on Sunday.
