UMW Men’s Swimming Downs SVU, 147-66, on Senior Day

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team downed Southern Virginia University, 147-66, on senior day in Fredericksburg, VA. The Eagles pick up their seventh win overall on the season.

Senior Noah Carpenter brought home wins in both the 100 yard IM and the 100 yard butterfly. Joshua Duke picked up a first place finish in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:50.22. Luke Bergstrom had a first place finish in both the 100 yard backstroke and the 200 yard backstroke. 

Jonathan Dye won both the 100 yard breaststroke and the 200 yard breaststroke. Senior Austin Farrar won the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:00.11. Senior Garrett Ross took first in the 50 free at 21.39. Brian Harnish won the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 48.48. 

Bradley Torrington placed first in the 500 yard freestyle at 5:15.99. The Eagles won the 200 yard medley relay with a team of Kai Green, Carpenter, Farrar, and Sam McKey. UMW also won the 200 freestyle relay with Carpenter, Farrar, Mark Dye, and Ross.

The Eagles will be back in action on 2/13 as they will travel to St. Mary's for the CAC Championships.
