UMW Men's Swimming Places 2nd at F&M Invitational

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team finished in second place among 10 teams at the Franklin & Marshall College Invitational on Sunday, capping a successful weekend. The Eagles posted 1312.5 points, behind only the 1490 of the hosts.

On Sunday, senior Gareth Mancini finished first in the 200 yard backstroke at 1:53.27, while Brian Harnish finished fourth in the 100 freestyle at 46.53. Junior Bradley Torrington won the 200 butterfly at 1:53.58, Mark Dye finished third in the 100 IM at 53.33, and the 400 free relay took second at 3:08.15.

The Eagles will be back in action on January 11 at Salisbury University at 1 p.m.
