UMW Men's Swimming Tops Frostburg, 205-56, on Friday in Home Opener

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team defeated Frostburg State University, 205-56, on Friday night in the home opener at Goolrick Natatorium.

The Eagles started the evening with a victory in the 400 yard medley relay, as Matt Curran, Mark Dye, Jeremy Robertson, and Brian Harnish finished first at 3:40.75, as the Eagles finished 1-2-3. Austin Farrar won the 1000 yard freestyle at 10:17.42, and Jeremy Robertson won the 200 freestyle at 1:49.55. Carsen Mumford followed with a win in the 100 yard backstroke at 59.08, Jonathan Brooks won the 100 breast at 1:01.43, and Jeff Leckrone won the 200 butterfly at 1:58.03.

Garrett Ross claimed first in the 50 yard freestyle at 21.56, Luke Bergstrom won the 200 yard backstroke at 2:06.31, and Brooks won the 200 breast at 2:17.90. Farrar won the 500 freestyle at 4:58.40, Leckrone won the 100 butterfly at 51.78, and <ark Dye won the 100 IM at 56.88 before the 400 free relay of Robertson, Kolin Hoffman, Julian Vazquez, and Ross took first at 3:22.51.

The Eagles will be back in action next Saturday when they visit Barton College at 1 p.m.
