UMW Men's Swimming Widens Lead on Day Two of CAC Championships

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team widened its margin on day two of the Capital Athletic Conference Championships in St. Mary's City, Md. The Eagles have 590 points, which are 136.5 points clear of second place York.

The 200 yard medley relay of Gareth Mancini, Kenyon Huber-Wilker, Jeffrey Leckrone, and Garrett Ross finished second at 1:33.66. In the 400 IM, UMW saw Austin Farrar finish second at 4:03.95, Noah Carpenter finish third at 4:06.04, Bradley Torrington fifth at 4:16.37, and Anthony Stephens in sixth at 4:17.45.

Jeremy Robertson finished fourth in the 100 yard butterfly at 52.44, and Joshua Duke took first in the 200 yard freestyle at 1:43.13. In the 100 yard breaststroke, Leckrone finished second at 56.68, while Mark Dye finished third and Huber-Wilker finished fourth. Carsen Mumford was second in the 100 backstroke at 52.60, while Mancini finished third.
