UMW Men's Swimming Completes Day One at CAC Championships in First

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team completed action through finals of the Capital Athletic Conference championships on Friday night.

On Thursday, the 800 free relay finished in second place with a time of 6:52.88. On Friday, the 200 yard free relay of Jeffrey Leckrone, Gareth Mancini, Jeremy Robertson, and Garrett Ross touched first at 1:23.92. Austin Farrar finished second in the 500 freestyle at 4:37.33, with teammates Kolin Hoffman finishing fifth, Joshua Duke sixth, Chris Cassingham seventh, and Matthew Scott eighth.

Kenyon Huber-Wilker finished second in the 200 IM at 1:53.54, with Noah Carpenter finishing third, Carsen Mumford fifth, and Anthony Stephens seventh. Garrett Ross was third in the 50 freestyle at 21.12, with Jeremy Robertson sixth and Mancini eighth.

The Eagles finished second in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:27.18.

The championships will continue on Saturday with 10 a.m. prelims and 6 p.m. finals.
