UMW Men's Swimming Falls to Gettysburg, 179-82, on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington men's swim team closed the home portion of its 2017-18 schedule on Saturday, falling to Gettysburg College, 179-82. UMW slips to 6-2 in dual meet action on the season.

Junior Jeffrey Leckrone picked up the Eagles' first win of the day in the 100 yard breaststroke, finishing at 57.98. Garrett Ross won the 50 freestyle at 21.63 seconds, and Carsen Mumford won the 200 IM at 2:01.50.

The 200 medley relay finished second at 1:37.64, and Leckrone took second in the 100 yard freestyle at 48.91. Mark Dye was second in the 200 yard breaststroke at 2:16.67.

UMW will be back in action next Saturday when they visit York College of PA in the final tune up before the CAC Championships.
