UMW Men's Swimming Finishes with Second Place Finish at Gettysburg Invite

The University of Mary Washington men's swimming team turned in several outstanding performances in gaining second place among five schools at the annual Gettysburg College Invitational on Saturday.

Saturday's action opened with sophomore Austin Farrar taking second in the 400 IM at 4:08.56, and Noah Carpenter also placed fourth. Freshman Kolin Hoffman took third in the 100 yard butterfly at 53.35, while Jeffrey Leckrone took second and Mark Dye third in the 100 yard breaststroke. The 800 yard free relay took third. 

The evening session started with the 200 free relay taking third with a time of 1:26.15. Hoffman won the 500 yard freestyle at 4:39.18.

The Eagles will be back in action on January 13 when they visit Salisbury University at 1 p.m.
