#24 UMW Men’s Soccer Drops 1-0 Decision at York (Pa.) on Saturday

The twenty-fourth ranked University of Mary Washington men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at York College on Saturday. The Eagles fall to 8-3-2 overall, and 3-2 in CAC play.

The two teams played an even first half as they played to a scoreless half. York recorded seven shots, and the Eagles had four shots. Both teams had two corner kicks.

UMW pressed for a goal in the second half and it showed on the box sheet as they recorded 11 corner kicks in the half. They weren't able to get one in the back of the net on those opportunities. York scored the game-winning goal in the 78th minute on a header off of a free kick. UMW outshot the Spartans 4-1 in the second half.

Kenny Kurtz had three saves in goal for the Eagles on the day.

The Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday when they travel to SVU for a game at 6 p.m. UMW defeated the Knights 10-0 in their last meeting.
