The University of Mary Washington men's lacrosse team used four goals and one assist from senior Harry Snyder and three goals and three assists from sophomore John Bohlinger in a 13-7 win over Wesley College on Wednesday afternoon in Capital Athletic Conference action at the Battleground. The Eagles improve to 6-1 overall, and 2-0 in league play.

Mary Washington took control from the start, scoring the game's first nine goals. Junior Sean Dacey scored at 9:05 and 4:27 remaining in the first quarter to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead after 15 minutes. The Eagles erupted for five second quarter goals, as Bohlinger scored twice, and Snyder, paul Tunick, and Joey Marson each added one tally. UMW scored four times in 3:01 during the frame.

Snyder and Bohlinger started the third period scoring to up the lead to 9-0, but Wesley righted the ship by scoring five of the next six goals, with UMW's Josh Furnary interrupting the streak. Leading 10-5 with 12:54 to play, Luke Dick scored 15 seconds following Wesley's fifth score, and Snyder scored two more to up the lead to 13-5 before the Wolverines found the nets twice late for the 13-7 final.

The Eagles led in shots, 39-30, and had 44 ground balls to 43 for Wesley. The Eagles were21-25 on clear attempts, and forced 19 Wesley turnovers. Matt Prin had eigh saves in 46 minutes, while Kyle Davitt had four stops and Mike Carnahan one in relief.

Mary Washington will return to action on Saturday when they host fifth-ranked Stevenson at 1:00 p.m. in a key CAC contest.
