Senior golfer Sebastien Bonte has been named as the Virginia Lottery UMW Male Athlete of the Month for March/April, 2021.

Bonte opened his senior season by taking medalist honors at the Shenandoah University Invitational, shooting a +5 147 to lead the University of Mary Washington men's golf team to a fifth place finish. He shot an opening round 75 in the morning, before shooting an afternoon round of 72 for his first place score. He won the event by four strokes.

Bonte finished in second place overall as the University of Mary Washington men's golf team finished sixth at the Virginia State Golf Association's Collegiate Championship the following week in Williamsburg. He finished with a -1 (107) in the 27 hole event, three strokes out of first.
