The University of Mary Washington riding team finished fourth among more than 20 teams competing at the Zone Championships at Hazelwild Farm on Saturday. Individually, senior Kimberly Counts took fourth in her open on the flat class and took first in open over fences in Gaining the Eagles' lone win of the day.

Allison Skowronski finished third in her walk trot class, and Meredith Gregory placed eighth in her advanced walk-trot class.

Counts will represent the Eagles at the national IHSA show in early May, competing in the Cacchione Cup for the second straight year.
