UMW Riding Team Places First at William and Mary Show

The University of Mary Washington riding team won seven classes en route to high point team honors at the College of William and Mary Show on Saturday.

Freshman Nikki Ferrell won her open on the flat and intermediate over fences classes, and junior Emily Dunn took first in her intermediate on the flat and novice over fences classes. Freshman Emily Rothstein won her advanced walk-trot-canter class, and senior Stacy Pestova won her walk-trot class.

Dun was named the high point rider for the day, while Ferrell gained reserve high point honors for the day.

The Eagles, who have won two of the three regional shows this fall, will be back in action on November 1, when they visit the Christopher Newport University show at noon.
