Frostburg State sophomore outfielder Tre D'Amico hit 7-of-10 in three Frostburg wins over the weekend. In a sweep of New Rochelle on Sunday, he had six hits, six runs scored, three doubles, eight RBI and hit a home run in each win. In five games this season, he is hitting .667 with 13 RBI, eight runs and eight hits.

Mary Washington junior pitcher Robert Cross limited Methodist University to just two hits in six innings as Mary Washington shutout the Monarchs in their season opener on Tuesday. Cross didn't allow a hit until the sixth inning, as he walked two and struck out three in teaming for the shutout with senior Hank Biggs.

Mary Washington's Stephen Johnston opened his season with three hits in four at bats as UMW blanked Methodist, 8-0. He added three RBI and a walk in reaching base four times on the day...Salisbury's Brad Haas hit .571 (4-for-7) in two starts for the Sea Gulls against No. 8 Cortland State University on Friday. Haas also drew a walk, drove in a run and stole a base in the doubleheader...St. Mary's Bowen Plagge finished with a.667 batting average and mashed a grand slam in the third inning of a 9-1 victory over New Rochelle. Plagge also added a triple and finished the afternoon with five RBI...Christopher Newport's Seth Woodard went 2-for-3 with a walk in the Captains lone game last week ... Drove in a run and scored once ... Tied the game with a two-out RBI double, kick-starting a four-run inning against Eastern Mennonite...Salisbury's Daniel Frake started the back half of a doubleheader match up against No. 8 Cortland State University of Friday afternoon, pitching four strong innings no-hit baseball while tallying five strikeouts in a no-decision...St. Mary's Drew Sturgess threw five scoreless innings in a 9-1 (six inning game) victory over New Rochelle on Feb. 22. Allowed just one hit, while striking out five batters.
