UMW Men's, Women's Cross Country Both Finish 13th at Oberlin Inter Regional Rumble

The University of Mary Washington men's and women's cross country teams both finished in 13th place at the Oberlin College Inter Regional Rumble on Saturday in Ohio.

The men finished 13th with 376 points. Leading the way for the men was sophomore Jeff Gibson, who placed 11th at 25:42. He was followed by junior Kyle Pfohl in 43rd at 26:37, senior Kevin Jones in 56th place at 26:47, junior Calhoun Stirling in 139th place at 27:54, and freshman Dillon Schweers in 156th place at 28:12.

For the women, who finished with 355 points, junior Jillian Weisbeck placed 30th at 23:18, freshman Maggie Larkin finished 42nd at 23:32, and junior Emily Knerr took 83rd at 24:14. Freshman Ashley Applegate was 101st at 24:33, and senior Marin Bader took 111th at 24:41.

Both teams will return to action in two weeks at the CAC Championships in Newport News, Va.
