UMW Men's Cross Country Places 12th at NCAA South/Southeast Regional

The University of Mary Washington men's cross country team placed in 12th place at the NCAA Division III South/Southeast regional Championship in Mount Berry, Ga., on Saturday morning among 29 scored teams.

The Eagles were led by sophomore JP Burklow, who finished 39th at 26:53, and senior Kevin McCarthy, who finished 60th at 27:28. Junior Kyle Pfohl finished 66th at 27:35, sophomore Calhoun Stirling was 73rd at 27:42, and senior Chris Markham was 94th at 28:08.

On the women's side, the Eagles saw sophomore Jillian Weisbeck place 89th at 25:14, and freshman Rosie Kostka finish 93rd at 25:19.
