UMW Men's Cross Country Places Second in Division at Paul Short Invite; Women Take 16th

The University of Mary Washington men's cross country team finished in second place among 34 schools in its division, and the women placed 16th among 41 schools at the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday.

FULL MEN'S RESULTS

The men took second, behind a fifth place finish from junior Kyle Pfohl at 26:28, and a seventh place from sophomore J.P. Burklow at 26:35. Junior Kevin Jones was 14th at 26:45, Calhoun Stirling was 44th at 27:30, and Chris Markham was 56th at 27:42.

FULL WOMEN'S RESULTS

On the women's side, the Eagles finished 16th. Sophomore Jillian Weisbeck finished 48th overall at 23:47, Marin Bader was 62nd at 23:59, and Rosie Kostka finished 94th at 24:39. Emily Knerr took 107th at 24:46, and Molly Garthwaite placed 112th at 24:58.

The Eagles will be back in action on October 15 at the Gettysburg College Invitational.
