Young, Braney Compete at NCAA Cross Country Championship

University of Mary Washington sophomore Teagan Young finished in 44th place overall, and senior Lauren Braney placed 234th among 275 runners at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship on Saturday in Mason, Ohio.

Young placed 44th overall with a time of 22:38.6, and Braney crossed the line at 24:21.3. Young and Braney were UMW's first competitors at the Championship since Hayley Sullivan in 2008.

Johns Hopkins won the overall team title, followed by MIT and St. Lawrence.
