UMW Women's Cross Country Places Second in Division at Paul Short Invite; Men Place 10th

The University of Mary Washington women's cross country team finished in second place among 22 schools in the White Division of the Paul Short Invitational on Saturday at Lehigh University, while the men finished 10th overall.

For the women, Teagan Young finished in second place overall, at 21:39. Lauren Braney was 11th at 22:56, Trinity Smith was 29th at 23:33, Victoria Parent was 30th at 23:33, and Claudia Autore was 45th at 23:56.

The men saw Ben Sorenson finish 12th overall at 26:30, followed by Chris Anderson at 27:21, and Jamie Van Emmerik at 27:45.

Both teams will be back in action in two weeks at the Connecticut College Invitational at 11:00 a.m.
