The 22nd ranked University of Mary Washington volleyball team swept a pair of matches at home on Friday evening, first taking a win from Christopher Newport University, and then from Centre College. The Eagles improve to 25-3 on the season.

UMW opened the day with a 25-16, 25-20, 25-18 victory over the Captains. The Eagles were led by junior Chloe Crosen, who scored eight kills against one error in 13 attempts. Senior Caitlyn Burch posted seven kills, eight solo blocks, and three block assists, and senior Jordan Lyons added six kills and 14 digs.  Junior Lauren Foley recorded 15 assists, and classmate Brenna Campbell added 14. Foley added 11 digs.

Next up was Centre College, and UMW came away with a 25-11, 26-24, 25-13 win. Senior Emma Hadley and Crosen each had nine kills without an error to lead the offense. Foley recorded 20 assists and Campbell added 10, and Hannah Livermon added five service aces and 10 digs. Foley led with 13 digs, with Bryanna Miller also adding 10.

The Eagles will host five matches on Saturday, with play beginning at 10 a.m. UMW will face Susquehanna University at noon, and Averett University at 6 p.m., and will honor the seniors prior to the late match.
