#22 UMW Volleyball Falls to Salisbury, 3-1, on Saturday Afternoon

The 22nd ranked University of Mary Washington volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision to visiting Salisbury University on Saturday afternoon at Ron Rosner Arena. The Eagles see their nine-match win streak snapped, and fall to 21-2 on the year; Game scores were 22-25, 25-14, 25-23, 25-22.

The Eagles started swiftly, taking game one, 25-22, but stumbled in the second, 25-14. The third and fourth games came down to the very end, with the Sea Gulls taking both for the victory.

Senior Caitlyn Burch led the Eagles with 12 kills against three errors in 20 attempts, and added four digs and three total blocks. Senior Jordan Lyons added nine kills, and Chloe Crosen eight. Lauren Foley scored 24 assists and Brenna Campbell posted 15, and Hannah Livermon led the way with 31 digs. Foley and Campbell each had 12 digs, and Lyons added 19 digs on the day.

The Eagles will return to action next Saturday, when the Eagles visit Averett University for matches against Averett and Emory University.
