The University of Mary Washington volleyball team swept a 3-0 decision at Salisbury University on Saturday afternoon in a key Capital Athletic Conference match. The Eagles remain undefeated in league play at 4-0, and move to 13-9 overall. Game scores were 25-19, 25-19, 25-18.

In the first game, UMW used a pair of kills from junior Peyton Dunow and one each from freshman Alana Harris and junior Savannah Powers to grab an early lead, and never relinquished it in a 25-19 victory. Dunow would follow with three more kills in the game, and another from Harris pushed UMW's lead to 19-12, and kills from Dunow and Harris closed out the first.

Game two saw the Eagles fall behind 3-0 before responding with five straight points, including a pair of kills from Powers, and another Powers point upped the margin to 18-13. The Eagles took five of the last seven points, including a pair of kills from sophomore Tenley Hares, to score a 25-19 victory.

In the third, Salisbury hung close early, evening the score at 7-7, but a six-point run from the visitors spelled doom for the Sea Gulls. Hares was at the forefront of the streak, scoring four kills. The Sea Gulls stayed within striking distance, cutting the deficit to 21-18, but an ace and a kill from Powers and another kill from Hares closed out the match.
