Walters Notches 1,000 Career Kills as UMW Volleyball Sweeps York, 3-0, in CAC Matchup on Saturday

Senior Leslie Walters notched her 1,000th career kill today as the University of Mary Washington volleyball team swept York College, 3-0, in a CAC matchup on Saturday afternoon in York, PA. The Eagles won 25-20, 25-22, and 27-25 in the three sets. The Eagles improve to 12-8 overall, and 3-0 in the CAC.

Walters came into the match only needing three kills to reach 1,000 and she recorded five for the match. Peyton Dunow led the team with 11 kills on 31 attacks. Savannah Powers had nine kills and Alana Harris had six. 

Ryan Cho led the way in digs as she had nine and Powers totaled seven. Maya Takashima added five digs for the Eagles. Kendal Hall dished out 30 assists for UMW. 

The Eagles will be back in action on Tuesday as they will travel to Washington & Lee for a game at 7 p.m.
