UMW Volleyball Tops Lynchburg in Three on Wednesday Night

The University of Mary Washington volleyball team defeated Lynchburg College, 3-0, on Wednesday night in Lynchburg. Game scores were 25-23, 25-19, 25-19.

The Eagles hit .243 for the evening, with 42 kills. UMW was led by sophomore Peyton Dunow, who scored 15 kills against seven errors in 32 attempts. Junior Leslie Walters has 12 kills against four errors in 26 tries, and freshman Tenley Hares scored eight kills against one error in 17 attempts.

Kendal Hall had 19 assists while Wren Berry added 17, and defensively, Dunow had a team-high 12 digs, with Jenna Yost adding 11. Savannah Powers had four kills, four digs, and three block assists.

Mary Washington will be back in action on Friday at Penn State Harrisburg in a Capital Athletic Conference match at 7 p.m.
