UMW Volleyball Sweeps St. Mary's in CAC Action on Saturday

The University of Mary Washington volleyball team swept St. Mary's College, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon at Ron Rosner Arena to improve to 9-6 on the season, and 2-0 in Capital Athletic Conference action. Game scores were 25-19, 25-14, 25-18.

 Sophomore Savannah Powers had 14 kills against two errors, added two aces, and three digs, while junior Leslie Walters scored 10 kills without an error, one ace, and two block assists. Sophomore Peyton Dunow scored eight kills and four digs, and sophomore Skyler Sisk added five kills without an error in five attempts, three aces, two digs, and a block assist. Freshman Tenley Hares scored six kills, two digs, and a block assist.

Freshman Wren Berry had 38 assists, and senior Jenna Yost led with nine digs.

The Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday when they host Catholic University for a nonconference match at 7 p.m.
