#14 UMW Volleyball Reaches 25th Win With 3-0 Saturday Win Over York

The 14th ranked University of Mary Washington volleyball team reached the 25-win plateau with a 3-0 Capital Athletic Conference victory over York College of Pa. on Homecoming Saturday at Ron Rosner Arena. The Eagles improve to 25-2 on the year, and 7-0 in CAC play. Game scores were 25-20, 25-17, 25-13.

Freshman Savannah Powers again led the Eagles with 12 kills against three errors, while classmate Skyler Sisk added nine kills against two errors in 13 attempts. Freshman Peyton Dunow scored eight kills against two errors, and senior Emma Olson added seven kills against one error, to go with 31 assists and seven digs.

Powers added six digs, while sophomore Leslie Walters had four kills, three aces, and four block assists. Junior Jenna Yost provided 13 digs and five assists, and sophomore Ryan Cho added six digs.

The Eagles surpass the 25-win mark for the ninth time in program history, but the first time since 1995. The Eagles will be back in action on Wednesday with a key CAC match at Marymount University at 7:00 p.m.
