#14 UMW Volleyball Sweeps Penn State-Harrisburg, 3-0, on Friday Night

The 14th ranked University of Mary Washington volleyball team improved to 24-2 on the season with a 3-0 victory over Penn State-Harrisburg on Friday night at Ron Rosner Arena. Game scores were 25-15, 25-11, 25-9.

The Eagles showed great efficiency, hitting .439 for the night, with 43 kills against seven errors in 82 attempts. UMW also showed balance, as seven different players recorded at least three kills.

Freshman Savannah Powers had nine kills in 12 attempts without an error, and junior Rachel Hendricks added seven kills without an error in 14 attempts. Sophomore Leslie Walters scored seven kills in 13 attempts, freshman Skyler Sisk had five kills and three digs, and freshman Peyton Dunow scored eight kills in 15 attempts without an error.

Senior Emma Olson had three kills in three attempts, with 31 assists, two aces, and three digs, while junior Jenna Yost added a team-high 10 digs.

UMW will be back in action on Saturday when they host York College of Pa. for Homecoming at 11:00 a.m.
